Results
The results of the first 2 cycles of micro credit loans are visible among low-income households. The recovery rate is stable despite the hardship caused by the environmental limitations. The first group of women who started our system can now feel accomplished in that they see their children returning to school and eating 3 times a day.
Micro loans bring hope for the future, as women now know that they can afford health costs for their children.
However, one of the most beautiful things of the project is the teamwork that promotes love, unity and cooperation among members. Micro credit is one of the quickest ways to boost the reconciliation process within the communities.
CEMADEF is also reaching the objective of social interdependence.
Visiting the low-income families was an important moment for Fanny as she concluded her two months of work in Bunia and the surrounding villages.
The following pictures were taken during the recent visit. Note the different kinds of women’s activities, small food businesses selling vegetables, bananas, fruit, fish, beans and charcoal.
